The Lertap 5 e-store

Welcome!

Be sure to get your browser to refresh this page so that you're truly up to date with prices.

If you have previously purchased a license for Lertap 5 from Assessment Systems Corp. (ASC), from Professional Testing Inc. (PTI), or from Lertap.com, please ignore this page and jump to another page.

New users please read this section:

All new users start by downloading the installer for the free "Mini" version of Lertap. This is done via this webpage. Lertap is then installed by following the instructions found in this PDF file.

The free Mini version will meet the needs of quite a number of users. It includes all of Lertap 5's features and options, and allows for any number of test or survey items to be processed -- its limitation is that it will not process more than 100 data records. The purchase of a license is only necessary when users want to process more than 100 records (students are an exception -- they can get a one-year license for free -- see this page).

If you're contemplating the purchase of a license, check prices by browsing to the Student, Teacher, Government, and Commercial pages using these links:

Students may get a free license, good for a year, by visiting this website's Student page.

Teachers may purchase a license from our Teacher page.

People working at a not-for-profit organization may purchase a license using the Government page on this site.

This site's Commercial page is for all other users.

Notes:

After you've purchased a license, there's another step to follow in order to "unlock" the Mini version of Lertap so that it will process more than 100 data records: you will send us four special ID codes from your computer using an option on Lertap's License menu.  We will remind you of these steps after you've made the purchase, but you could get a bit of a head start by following the steps now: they are found in this PDF document.

Once a license has been purchased, may it later be transferred to another computer? Yes.

For convenience, links to selected Lertap resources are listed below.

1

The main Lertap website. Extensive information about Lertap 5 with a variety of links to related resources, such as sample datasets, support documents (including the manual), references, testimonials, exercises for test and measurement classes, and some boring videos.

2

The Lertap help site. A supplement to the manual and a primary resource for users.

3

The "EULA", end-user license agreement for Lertap 5.

4

Larry's QUIA website, our developmental and experimental site. Has a variety of tidbits and, at times, special resources for instructors.

5

Assessment Systems Corporation, makers of an excellent item response theory program: "Xcalibre". Xcalibre is our personal favorite when it comes to IRT. Lertap interfaces with Xcalibre easily. Click here to read more about Lertap and IRT.
